Organisational Design – a pragmatic approach to maximising value

Successful design addresses the processes, capabilities, and behaviours that need to align to maximise value in the organisation. Our work has shown that there is little link between what companies want to achieve when re-organising their businesses and what they actually achieve.  There are several reasons behind this, not least of which is that many ‘strategies’ do not outline the correct organisational structure, so senior management may waste effort and money in creating something that is not fit for purpose.  There is often a lack of consistency in implementation and a lack of communication as to why a business is restructuring.

Sandgrove Partners seeks to offer clients a practical and pragmatic approach to optimising the structure of their organisation to align with their strategic ambitions.  We use analytical analysis coupled with 'on the ground' consultants to ensure that the organisational model for the business is fit for purpose and places the right talent in the right positions, with a minimum of disruption to getting on with business as usual.  This is underpinned by a clear, consistent approach that can be easily and effectively communicated to the entire organisation.

We also look to link the design of an organisation to the broader effectiveness of the senior executive team – and the related talent management implications of this.
